Vegas Over/Under: 42.5
The Record Projection: 40-42 of fromal The Bet: Hammer the beneath The Philadelphia 76ers seem to one day become the best team in the Eastern Conference on track. But let’s not make an air of disappointment by expecting too much.
Vegas, probably capitalizing on the excitement that surrounds all the future celebrities, is already doing so. Now, betting below is just one of this year’s most easy sports bets.
Joel Embiid isn’t guaranteed to stay healthy. Markelle Fultz and Ben Simmons have played in a zero matches. The rest of the roster is laden with upside, but they are by no means sure to break through and produce strongly positive results in 2017-18.

On the contrary, arguments exist of course. Philadelphia had numerous turnover problems last year that counting on two newcomer playmakers to direct the fee is not actually an issue. It won 28 games with Embiid only suiting up 31 times, and the two numbers are most likely to trend up going forward, particularly with more depth surrounding the talented center.
But incremental improvement remains a lot more likely than a massive jump from deep in the lottery to over .500.
