The Mets will be looking for more from Marcus Stroman down the stretch. He has not helped much so far and hasn’t made the Mets seem too bright going after him. Yeah, the Mets went on a monster 16-1 conduct, but that has nothing to do with the Stroman deal. In any event, the Mets have won of Stroman’s begins. He might have pitched better, however.
Between his first two outings with the Mets, Stroman has recently already posted an ERA of both 6.10 at 10.1 innings of work. He let 7 earned runs, along with 16 hits and 5 walks in those innings. Therefore, while Stroman gets a free pass thus far, particularly following the Mets won both matches, he must be greater than that to create the trade worthwhile. The Braves are hitting on .280 with a .337 OBP from Stroman at 82 at-bats. On the opposing side, the Mets have a long history against Teheran within his profession.
The Mets will eclipse 400 at-bats from Teheran inside this contest. In 399 at-bats, they hit .216 with 10 home runs. Getting to Teheran in the home hasn’t been easy for visiting groups. Teheran owns an ERA of 2.52 in 60.2 innings of basketball in Atlanta. He’s yielded just 5 long balls in the home in 2019 as well. Note that Teheran has allowed two or less runs in seven of his past outings, and has not given up more than 3 runs since June 24th from the Cubs in Wrigley Field.
In his most recent appearance from the Mets, the Braves were winners with a score of 5-4. We are seeing what is happening to the Mets now that they must play a winning group. Throughout their 15-1 run, the only team they beat having a record more than .500 were that the Nationals, that they finally had their winning streak snapped against. Teheran and the Braves seem just like the ideal side here for a second win over the Mets.
