France vs Albania: Anthem mix-up in Paris at European Qualifier

Players seemed bemused as they realised that it was the incorrect anthem – Andorra’s anthem, based on the official website of UEFA – with camera pictures showing mad Albanian fans making expressions.
France coach Didier Deschamps talked with Albania trainer Edoardo Reja as referee Jess Gil Manzano waited several minutes for the anthem to be played at the Stade de France before beginning the game, which was delayed by almost 10 minutes.
Afterward, when the suitable anthem was about to be played was another embarrassing incident as the arena announcer apologised to»Armenia’s fans» and called on fans to honor the»Armenia federal anthem» before denying his glaring mistake and stating Albania.
The next opponent of france is Andorra live on Sky Sports.
Deschamps offered a public apology within the anthem mix-up which caused a delay because the match would not be started by Albania without the mistake.
«I apologised to the bench and the coach,» Deschamps informed a press conference.
«It is something which shouldn’t occur, but it happened. I understand the job of the Albanians also it is logical that people waited until the Albanians could have their anthem earlier that game.»
