Julian Edelman unsure about Josh Gordon’s future

With just under four weeks before training camp, wide receiver Josh Gordon’s future remains unknown inside and outside of the Patriots locker area.
Quarterback Tom Brady and gordon worked out together last week, based on Brady’s Instagram. But the wideout stays indefinitely suspended for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy in December.

Count Super Bowl MVP Julian Edelman among those who doesn’t know if — or when — the team will be rejoined by Gordon.
«It’s a lifetime situation and you’re yanking him… for better,» Edelman said Wednesday, via Barstool Sports. «And selfishly, I need him because he is a really good football player and he can help us.
«I don’t know anything (about whether Gordon will probably be reinstated) going right into it. Like, legit. I have asked 30 people inside the organization and out,’Do you understand what is going to happen?’ And no one understands not 1 thing. We’re just kind of waiting to see what the circumstances will be with him since he would be a really good tool to get and sitting. He balls.»
Gordon was expected to apply for reinstatement in May, based on the Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, but there has not been any update on his status. Gordon did not attend the Patriots’ Super Bowl ring service before in June and hasn’t made any public remarks, but stays active.
