Jamie Murray has educated the Lawn Tennis Association which Scotland is a»country, not a county» as he called for greater funding for the match at his homeland.

Wondering if Scotland deserved , Murray said:»I presume so. Certainly from what we’ve attained over the last however many years, going back to our days of playing.
«If you take into consideration the Scottish players that have represented us in the Davis Cup and won fractures, I’d say they do. We’re a nation after all, a county.
«Also, we must be sure up here we have a suitable plan in place that is likely to appeal to this LTA, when we do give you that money it’s likely to be well invested .»
